and anything Chamber or community-related.
My name is Lisa Workman and I am proud to be the new Executive Director of the Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. I have had the opportunity to establish relationships with many of the businesses in the Fergus Falls area while working as Marketing Manager at Nelson Ford over the past eight years. Now, I plan to use my skills and experiences, to help the Chamber members grow their businesses. I will be out and about connecting with the business community and finding out what the Chamber can do to help each business succeed. I want to thank everyone personally who has congratulated me on achieving this position – the response I have received from the community has been overwhelming. I am motivated to lead our business sector into being an incredible place to do business.
This is an exciting time for Fergus Falls -- growing, developing, and changing. Opportunities are popping up all around us. We simply need to keep our eyes open and be poised to take action. You get out of life what you put into it.
It seems my life’s destiny was to be near water -- I grew up in Stillwater, MN (along the St. Croix River), graduated from St. Cloud State University (along the Mississippi) with a degree in Mass Communications and French and I now consider the Fergus Falls area with the Otter Tail River and lakes area my home. I have been a promoter for this area since moving here in 1998 and enjoy fishing, boating and snowmobiling in my spare time along with my husband Troy and 5-year old son Eric. When the boys aren’t around, I like scrapbooking, photography, cooking and shopping. We are members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and Mn-USA Snowmobilers Association.
Opportunities knock. Make sure you answer the door and make the most of your business each and every day. My door is always open. I welcome your suggestions, ideas and volunteers. When we all work together, big things happen. Small Changes.... BIG IMPACT
