Beginning Mindfulness Part I (Pre-register)

In this course, we will explore what mindfulness is, why we should practice mindfulness, and how it can benefit you. You will learn about walking meditation, eating meditation, and mindfulness in daily life. We will discuss the tools of mindfulness, including how to increase awareness, what to do with thoughts and feelings, how to develop an attitude of mindfulness, the four foundations of mindfulness, and the S.T.O.P. technique. If you are serious about wanting to change your life and learn mindfulness and meditation, this class is for you. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a cushion for sitting if you like. Class dates: Sept. 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26.
