We are seeking an experienced, self motivated Automotive Technician to join our team! We are a family owned and operated full service automotive repair facility. Our Automotive Technicians diagnose customer vehicle problems, accurately prescribe the correct repairs needed, and then make the repairs - most importantly - you'll make sure our customers are satisfied and safe when they leave the shop. Welding experience a plus. Electrical & Wiring experience a plus. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8-5, no weekends. Some optional overtime available as needed. Paid Holidays. Uniform Allowance. Candidate must possess all personal tools to perform the job. Specialty Tools provided by the shop. We are a busy multi facet shop doing everything from oil changes, to complete engine & drive train replacement. We diagnose complex driveability problems, and have up to date diagnostic equipment for domestic and import vehicles. We do custom exhaust work, welding and fabrication. We service and repair trailers, and install and wire brake controllers to vehicles.
*Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner recharges, battery installations, and head light/tail light installations.
*Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair.
*Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customer's vehicle problems, and provide accurate repair recommendations.
*Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
*Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.
*Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
*High school diploma/GED
*Valid drivers license
*ASE certification preferred but not necessary.
*3+ years' of service preferred but not necessary.
*Willingness to participate in in-house training and some outside training.
*Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
*Ability to perform physically taxing duties, and able to lift 150 lbs.
Would consider the right student graduating from Tech school.
Compensation would depend on experience, benefits negotiable.
