About Us

Freedom works to provide people with disabilities the means to be more independent. Core services include Skills Training, Peer Mentoring, Information & Referral, and Advocacy. It also offers a temporary ramp program, home evaluations for accessibility, and relocation from nursing facilities to the community. Freedom also works to make our communities more user-friendly for people with disabilities by offering technical assistance to business and government entities on access issues, as well as educational presentations. Freedom serves people of any disability, any age, free of charge.

Freedom has office locations in Fargo, Wahpeton, Lisbon, and Jamestown, North Dakota and Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram.

Centers for Independent Living like Freedom Resource Center provide services to people with disabilities who may otherwise not get their needs met. We are person-centered and goal focused, helping people achieve what’s most important in their own lives. Freedom does not require medical verification of a disability and there are no income guidelines to access services.
At Freedom, we have the flexibility to meet you where you are at. We are here to walk with you as you navigate your independence. To set up an appointment, please call our office to make an in-person or virtual appointment with our staff.
Our temporary ramp program continues to provide accessibility to those in need with no contact installation and pick-up.
