City of Fergus Falls Summer Recreation Brochure Available Online - Registration Opens April 1
The Summer 2024 Recreation brochure from the City of Fergus Falls is now available online! Follow the link HERE. The guide is full of things for kids (and adults) to do all summer long. From sports, Kids Kamp and information about community partners - you'll find it all in one spot. Registration opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 1 and will be online only. City Offices and Library Closed for Good Friday, March 29. Changes to Garbage and Recycling Schedule
City offices will be closed on Friday, March 29 in observance of Good Friday. Residents whose garbage and recycling are normally picked up on Fridays will have it picked up on Thursday, March 28. Thursday routes will have theirs picked up on Wednesday, March 27. Residents should have their garbage and recycling on the boulevard by 6 a.m. The Fergus Falls Public Library is also closed on March 29. The liquor stores will be open regular hours.

Chamber to Host Speed Networking for Students & Employers
The Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will host a "Speed Networking" event for Fergus Falls High School students to connect them with employers looking for interns and summer workers. This is a fantastic way to connect to our employers with their future workforce and for the students to learn about local businesses. On Monday, March 11, 2024, the Chamber will host the “Speed Networking” event at the Fergus Falls Community Education offices (same building as the Community Arena, 340 N. Friberg).
March 4 City Council Recap
The Fergus Falls City Council met on Monday, March 4th. A recap of Council action can be found on the city's website HERE. The Council unanimously approved the 2024 Utility Rate adjustments. Fergus Falls Chamber Leadership Pilot Program Starting Soon
The Fergus Falls Area Chamber is launching a brand-new Leadership Program: “Ignite Community Leadership.” Later this month, a pilot program will roll out with a limited number of participants. The program will feature half-day sessions providing technical skills in leadership combined with community connections to education, government, tourism, local history, health/wellness, and business. Josh Bolluyt became a member of the Chamber Board in October 2023. Josh is the owner of Advanced Auto Care at 422 S Sheridan in Fergus Falls. His passion for automobiles began when he was young. Through years of training and self-study, he has become a top-level diagnostic technician and has his Master Automotive Technician ASE Certification.
