News Release: Message from Supt. Jeff Drake:March 16, 2020
Message from Supt. Jeff Drake:
As we face the uncertainties of the coronavirus, the health and safety of the Fergus Falls School District’s students, staff and community continue to be our primary concern. This morning, Governor Walz announced the closing of Minnesota Public Schools and charter schools serving pre-K through 12th grade due to the coronavirus.
In response, the Fergus Falls School District has several important announcements:...
1. Monday, March 16th will be our last day of school until further notice.
2. The school buildings will be open on Tuesday, March 17th so that students and families can remove any personal belongings, if necessary.
3. March 17th - March 27th are planning days for district staff to develop an equitable distance learning plan that will meet the educational needs of all children. All school buildings will be closed to the public during that time.
4. Should the need arise, the district will begin delivering instruction through a distance learning model beginning on Monday, March 30th.
We appreciate your trust and faith in us as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances. Know that we will continue to keep you informed as plans are developed and as we become aware of new information.Contact:Jeff Drake, Superintendent
