DESCRIPTION:Join WCI at the historic Holmes Theatre in Detroit Lakes for an evening of celebration\, exploration\, and conversation.\n\n\n\nBeginning at 5:00\, socialize and engage with fun interactive booths. You'll sample a variety of hors d'oeuvres from the amazing BLACKBOARD RESTAURANT while exploring interactive displays focused on climate\, community\, and kids. Two exhibits showcase the importance of water in our region\, one has local honey tasting\, and also meet & greet with the creators of our children's book\, "Let's Go! Adventures in West Central Minnesota."\n\n\n\nAt 6:45\, gather for the final dessert & conversation\, led by master storyteller KEVIN KLING. Joining Kevin will be \n\nEmily Buermann\, a Becker County resident and enrolled member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe\, and a conversation between Kevin Lindsey\, CEO of the Minnesota Humanities Center\, and Anna Wasescha\, President of West Central Initiative.
