Chess 101 (pre-register)

This beginner chess class is intended for anyone who has little knowledge about the game of chess. You will learn the names of all the chess pieces, how the chess pieces move, the placement of the chess board, and what you need to do to win a game of chess. Playing chess improves memory and concentration, increases creativity and problem solving skills, raises IQ, teaches planning and foresight. Class dates: Oct. 26, Nov. 2 - 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
