Special Education Teacher - Alexandria

Lakes Country Service Cooperative, a leader in providing regional support for school districts, cities, counties, and other government agencies is looking for a Special Education Teacher to fill a full-time opening for the 2022-2023 school year within our Lakes Country Academy in Alexandria, MN.
 
The K-6 grade students, referred by our member districts to Lakes Country Academy, present with educational and behavioral challenges and benefit from a highly individualized environment.  The programming structure will be an integrated approach where teachers will work collaboratively together to teach subject areas/work on behavior interventions/and implement programming that focuses on connection and skill acquisition.   Our team consists of a low student to teacher ratio that is supported by administration, teacher assistants, behavior specialists, school psychologist and a school social worker.  

Teacher licensure in EBD/ASD is required, however the ability to receive a Tier 1 license through MDE will be considered.  Experience working in a special education classroom with challenging behaviors is preferred.  Salary range starts at $49,500 annually. Salary will be adjusted for years of experience as a special education teacher.
